Mission Statement

Welcome to Break Neck Theology. The name “Break Neck Theology” refers to uncompromising biblical truth. That is the mission of this web site. To provide tools, perspectives, posts, and articles that deal with everything from media, drama, the church, to ministry in an uncompromising way. Many ministries and churches today seem so anemic in their impact because they commit two major errors.

First, they compromise the truth of God’s word, watering it down to jive with worldly thinking and philosophy. The gospel becomes man centered and clear truths taught in scripture such as that homosexuality is sin, and that there is only ONE way to God are easily dismissed or not mentioned lest they offend anyone. While this group is vast it is largely relegated to liberal churches and ministries who have lost their truth and therefore their purpose.

The second group however is not in good shape either. This group doesn’t compromise on truth but rather application. Truth is taught, often times very clearly, but the next step of discussing specifically what action that passage of the bible is calling the audience to, is lost. That vital step is lost or forgotten, or more often, was never taught. So many teachers and preachers of the word of God live out their ministry lives never fully grasping the truth of the word:

The bible demands action! It demands specific application for each individuals life.

This idea is found clearly in this true story told by Steve Viars from Faith Baptist Church in Lafayette Indiana. Listen to the audio below or read THIS POST.

That is the vision of this site. To take the absolute truth of the word of God and apply it, in every way possible, to the daily lives of any person who comes in contact with it. This site is designed to show you how to do that, and give you tools, such as dramas and lessons, where that has already been done. Look around enjoy your stay…and my prayer is that with the brief time you’re here that you’ll gain a passion for applying God’s word specifically to your life…or someone else’s.
